Join us for a day trip on board our comfortable 12 meter dive boat "Ruku Moana". Our Advanced Boat Trips are to those more challenging Dive Sites and as such are not suitable for Open Water divers.
Ruku Moana comfortably dives up to 8 divers and travels at 20 knots, with a toilet, shower , dry area and tea and coffee facilities on board, you can be assured of a great comfortable day out. We meet at the dive shop at 8am and are usually back by 4pm (depending on dive location).
Trip destination will be decided on the day by your skipper and dive guide and will depend on weather conditions and experience levels of the divers on board. Possible destinations include Mayor Island, Okaparu Reef, The Taioma , Astrolabe Reef ( The wreck of The Rena), and Plate Island. Check out our dive sites page for full descriptions on these sites.
Our trips on the last Saturday of the month are for our Advanced divers where we head to some of our more challenging sites - these trips are not suitable for Open Water certified divers.
Booking for these trips are essential as numbers for each trip are limited and they do fill up.
Tanks and weights are included in the price, a full set of hire gear is $50. Please purchase this item at time of booking or pay on in store on the morning of your trip.
Cancellation / Transfer Policy
Transfer of dates within 1 week of the trip date - $50 transfer fee
This fee is applicable every time you transfer dates.
Once trips are booked and paid for there is no refund available unless we cancel due to weather.
